Check out these beautiful animals cut from wood created by Enormous Champion. They’d make a nice addition to any kid’s room nesting on top of the window or door trim, don’t ya think? These and other great stuff available from their Etsy shop.

Does anything really need to be said? I think we all secretly want to wear slippers like these to work but are afraid of the backlash. But, is there any legitimate excuse not to be wearing a pair around the house? Totally fun. Get ‘em here.

If you’re growing bored of Ugly Dolls here are a couple nice alternatives. First is the latest creation from the folks at Wry Baby (above) called Stuf (available sometime in October). The other (below) are “Aminals“, which are inspired by the drawings of children and 100% organic. Both companies are going above and beyond to be socially responsible, which makes them even cooler in our eyes.

This great series of 26 typographic chairs was designed by Roeland Otten. I’d love to walk through a room of these with my daughter and have her identify each one.

I’m digging these seats made of sliced rolls of wool created by Danish designer Lene Frantzen. How beautiful would story time be if each kid had one of these to sit on. Although I must be reading the price wrong, right? They appear to be kee-razy expensive. Maybe there’s a cheaper alternative? Very cool stools too.

And while we’re posting that little bit of awesomeness, it seems like an opportune time to share something else. Back in June we posted about a participatory art installation by Slovakian artist Roman Ondák at MoMA. Below is a new video featuring the artist describing his work. Pretty fun.

The Flip camera is brilliant. Particularly if you’re a new parent, you need one like you need a stroller. Seriously. You’re gonna have enough to manage that you’re won’t want to lug around a bulky camcorder, but you WILL want some of those moments documented. Making them even more convenient, they connect to your computer by way of a self-contained USB arm that snaps out with a flick of a switch.

My daughter and I enjoyed looking at this slideshow of photos by Corrie White. This snapshot of her set-up is a nice reminder that you don’t need a fancy studio or expensive equipment to do beautiful work.

We’re hardly the first to call attention to the beautiful products of Swiss company, momoll, but it almost feels irresponsible to not give them a mention. Find a retailer.
